What ages and needs do you serve?
We provide behavioral services to children and adolescents ages 2-13. Most of the families who reach out to us want to learn how to better support their child using a behavioral approach. Many children we see are also receiving additional services and medication management as a part of their on-going treatment and we understand the importance of comprehensive care. We love working with other providers in the community and will always work with you to ensure all your treatments are working together to best meet the needs of your child.
We know no one knows your child as well as you and believe parents are a vital participant in the treatment process. For some children, individual therapy may be the most appropriate model. For other families, it may be recommended that sessions focus more on parent coaching. We always learn each family’s unique goals, needs, and expectations coming into therapy so that we can work together in developing goals that will best meet your child's and family's needs. We've found therapy is most beneficial when parents are involved in therapy. All of this is discussed with you at the onset to help you determine if we are a right fit for your family.
Where do you see me and my child?
Most services are initially rendered in the office setting, but we know behaviors do not occur in a vacuum. Understanding the triggers and environment(s) in which behaviors happen is a critical part of our therapeutic approach, so our time together may look different from other therapies you may have received in the past. We often recommend that therapy also occur in the home, school, and community so we can directly observe the situations that may be impacting your child. Directly observing the environment(s) in which they occur helps us develop more individualized strategies that can better help you prevent challenging behaviors from occurring and help to ensure the strategies carry over to many other environments and situations. We know it can be frustrating when all the wonderful and new things children learn during individual therapy do not always carry-over outside of sessions, so we encourage ways to practice these skills in other settings and with important people in your child's life.
What will it cost?
Good Faith Estimate
On January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act was passed to ensure your right to receive a Good Faith Estimate as to the cost of your medical care. Under this law, providers are required to give new and established clients who are uninsured, self-pay, or shopping around for providers, a good faith estimate of costs for services that they provide. You can ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule any service.

Most insurance companies cover mental health services for children with a confirmed diagnosis. For ABA services, insurances and employer based plans will only cover Adaptive Behavior Treatment with a formal diagnoses of Autism.
We provide therapy to children with a variety of needs and believe in treating the unique needs of the child rather than treating a diagnosis. Some of the children we see are as young two and it is important to take into account their developmental level as it relates to treatment goals and recommendations. In some circumstances, a formal diagnosis may not be appropriate at that time or further screenings and assessments may be recommended. This may impact if and how you utilize your insurance.
Utilizing your mental health benefits may be also beneficial for families who may be on waitlists for ABA services for children diagnosed with Autism, but are needing support interim. Consultative services may include parent training, functional communication training and behavior management strategies.
Not all services offered by us are reimbursable by insurance and you will be responsible for the full amount at the time of service.
What insurance providers are you in network with?
We are currently in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield. If you have a different insurance, we will provide you with a detailed invoice called a "Superbill" that you can then submit to your insurance company on an unassigned basis. This means the insurer will send the payment directly to you and you will responsible for the complete charge. We encourage you to follow up with your insurance provider to explore your “out of network” benefits, as a percentage of our services may be reimbursable.
